Galápagos Rangers Beginners Lesson/ Vocabulary

The Galápagos Islands are in the Pacific Ocean. Many special animals live there. Park rangers work on the islands. They protect the animals and nature.

Rangers walk around the park every day. They watch the animals and make sure they are safe. They do not let people touch the animals. They do not let boats fish illegally in the water.

Some animals on the islands are very famous. Giant tortoises live there. They are very big and very old. Penguins live there too. The islands also have sea lions, iguanas, and many birds.

Some animals come from other places. These animals are bad for the local animals. They eat their food and take their homes. Rangers work hard to remove them.

The rangers love their job. They do not want the animals to disappear. Thanks to them, the Galápagos Islands are still a beautiful and wild place.
