Job and Money A1 English Lesson/ Present Simple, Vocabulary

Some people change jobs to get more money. This is very common.

But it is bad to change jobs too much. In English, we call this “job-hopping.”

Job-hopping is when a person changes jobs every one or two years.

Job-hopping is a problem because a new boss thinks you are not a good worker. Also, it is expensive to teach a new worker.

Most workers get a small pay rise every year. But this rise is often not enough.

So, what is the best thing to do? Try to stay at your job for at least two or three years. After that, it is okay to look for a new job with more money.
