About Course

This free course provides ready-to-use interactive vocabulary lessons covering four everyday topics across A1, A2, and B1 levels. Each lesson is a self-contained HTML file with no login, no setup, and no internet connection required beyond the initial load — making it suitable for classroom use, blended learning, or self-study homework tasks.

The four topics — daily routines and everyday life, food and drink, people and descriptions, and home and house — are taught at each CEFR level with vocabulary, language, and exercise types appropriate to that level. At A1 learners work with core words and phrases through listening, true or false, multiple choice, matching, gap fill, word sort, and a guided dialogue. At A2 the same topics are revisited with more nuanced vocabulary and a two-speaker listening conversation. At B1 the exercise set is upgraded: true or false and word sort are replaced with sentence transformation, error identification, and paragraph gap fill, reflecting the greater linguistic demand of this level.

Each lesson includes a listening activity using browser-based text-to-speech at a speed calibrated to the level — slower at A1, progressively faster at A2 and B1. Listening questions at B1 include inference and attitude tasks, not just factual recall.

Every lesson is paired with a downloadable PDF containing a student worksheet and a teacher answer key, clearly marked with a red banner and a do not distribute notice. All exercises in the interactive lesson and the PDF use the same data, so the materials work together consistently whether you are teaching face to face or setting work to complete independently.

The course covers twelve lessons in total — four at each level — and all resources are free to download and use in your teaching.
