A judge in the United States is blocking the Trump administration from moving 20 prisoners. The prisoners have been living in a normal prison for a long time. President Biden changed their punishment before he left office. They did not die, but they are spending the rest of their lives in prison.

President Trump is trying to send the prisoners to a very strict prison called ADX Florence. Life there is extremely hard. Prisoners have to stay in their rooms for 23 hours every day. They are not allowed to mix with other people or carry on with normal life.

The judge has decided that this is not fair. The prisoners did not find out about the move in advance. Because of this, they could not speak up for themselves. The law says that the government must follow fair rules when it makes decisions. Recently, the judge put his foot down and stopped the Trump administration from going ahead with the transfer.
