Galápagos Rangers A1 English Lesson/ Simple Present

The Galápagos Islands are a group of islands in the Pacific Ocean. They are near Ecuador in South America. Many amazing animals live on the islands and in the water around them.

Park rangers work on the islands every day. Their job is to protect the animals and the natural environment. They walk around the park and watch the animals carefully. They also go out on the water by boat to stop people from fishing illegally.

The islands are home to some incredible animals. Giant tortoises are one of the most famous. They are very big and can live for over 100 years. Penguins, sea lions, iguanas, and many different birds also live on the islands. These animals do not live in many other places in the world.

Some animals come to the islands from other places. These animals are a problem because they eat the food and take the homes of the local animals. Rangers work very hard to find these animals and remove them from the islands.

Rangers also help tourists who visit the islands. They make sure visitors do not touch or feed the animals. They teach people why it is important to protect nature.

The rangers are very proud of their work. They want to make sure the Galápagos Islands stay beautiful and wild for the future.
