Language Focus
We use the verb to be to talk about names, jobs, feelings, ages, and where people are from.

| you / we / they | are | You are here. We are friends. They are from Canada. |
Remember: the verb "to be" doesn't change like other verbs. It only has three forms in the present: am, is, and are — and each subject always uses the same one.
