Grace: I heard you are moving next month. Where are you going?
Theo: To a two-bedroom flat in Westfield. I am renting it with a flatmate to keep the costs down. The rent is quite reasonable for the area.
Grace: Is it furnished?
Theo: Partly. The landlord has provided the main pieces of furniture, but we need to buy a few things ourselves. The location is brilliant though — it is within walking distance of the station and there are loads of shops nearby.
Grace: That sounds ideal. What is the neighbourhood like?
Theo: Really pleasant. It is a residential area, so it is quite peaceful. There is a park around the corner, which is great for the weekends.
Grace: Any drawbacks?
Theo: The flat needs a bit of work. There is some damp in the bathroom and the heating system is quite old. The landlord has agreed to sort out the damp before we move in, which is a relief.
Grace: That is important. Always worth checking these things before you sign the lease.
