Level: A1  |  Everyday English

Vocabulary

Daily routines are the things you do every day. In this lesson you will learn words for everyday activities — things you do in the morning, during the day, and in the evening.

Listening Practice

Listen to a short passage about someone's daily routine. You can listen as many times as you like. Then answer the questions.

▶ Passage — A Typical Day
My name is Maria. Every day I wake up at seven o'clock in the morning. I have breakfast at home — I usually eat bread and drink coffee. Then I get dressed and go to work. I start work at nine o'clock. I have lunch at one o'clock. In the evening, I cook dinner and watch television. I go to bed at ten o'clock. I sleep for eight hours every night.
