Time expressions that signal Simple Past:
yesterday, last week/month/year, in [year], [X] ago, when I was…, on [date]

Time expressions that signal Present Perfect:
just, already, yet, ever, never, recently, so far, today, this week/month/year, since, for

Both can be correct depending on meaning:
I have invested in that company. (it's still relevant now)
I invested in that company in 2019. (specific finished time)
