Present Perfect — What's New at A2?

Use 1 — Life experience (ever/never): Things you have done or never done in your life.
I have gone abroad.  |  She has never heard that song.
Use 2 — Recent action, present result: Something happened recently and the result is visible now.
He has packed his bag. (= it's ready now)  |  They have closed the shop. (= it's closed now)
Use 3 — Just / Already / Yet: Words that show how recent an action is or whether it has happened yet.
just = a very short time ago: I have just come home.
already = sooner than expected: She has already opened her presents!
yet = in questions and negatives: Have you started yet? / He hasn't called yet.
Use 4 — Unfinished time: Actions in a period that has not ended yet (today, this week, this year).
I have packed three bags today.  |  She has heard that song five times this week.
