pipe
a long tube that carries water

tap
a device you turn to control water flow

valve
a part that opens and closes to control flow
"Close the valve to stop the water."
drain
a hole or pipe that removes waste water
"The drain is blocked with dirt."
fitting
a small part that connects pipes together
"We need a new fitting for this joint."
wrench
a tool used to tighten or loosen nuts and bolts
"Pass me the wrench, please."
seal
a material that stops water from escaping a joint
"Check the seal around the tap."
leak
water escaping from where it should not
"There is a leak under the sink."
joint
the place where two pipes connect
"Tighten the joint to stop the drip."
flush
to clean a pipe or toilet by pushing water through it
"Flush the pipe before you connect it."
basin
a sink, usually in a bathroom
"Fit the tap to the basin."
washer
a small flat ring that helps create a tight seal
"Replace the washer to fix the drip."
